Carmel Popcorn

8 quarts (unsalted) popped popcorn
1 cup butter
2 cups brown sugar
½ cup light corn syrup
dash salt
½ tsp baking soda
1 tsp vanilla

Melt butter. Stir in brown sugar, corn, syrup and salt. Bring to a boil. Continue to boil and stir for 2 minutes. Remove from heat and stir in soda and vanilla. Pour over popcorn and stir to coat.

that is the same recipe from the cook book that Pam gave us for Christmas- but it calls for white sugar and they call it vanilla popcorn! quick and easy
